LET ME TELL YOU… / ΝΑ ΣΟΥ ΠΩ… is an exhibition by Athens-based illustrator Karin Eremia. Karin is a conceptual illustrator and printmaker originally from Romania. She freelances from her studio in Athens, working mostly in editorial. She left her home country 13 years ago and has since lived in Finland, Scotland, and now Greece. She graduated with an MA in Illustration from The Edinburgh College of Art, and afterwards worked as a Studio Assistant at the printmaking workshop of ECA in 2019-2020.
Karin describes her exhibition thusly: “The works span between 2020 – 2023 and while slightly different in technique or approach, they are all unified by a few common threads, such as my own habits of daily observation in the city and of course my love of printing. For the history-lovers amongst you, there will be some cheeky winks towards Greek history and archeology. Some rougher and unfinished pieces will be showed alongside more finished works, all referencing places, texts, or experiences that have stayed with me.”
From 19:00 on the evening of the 24th of May anyone interested is invited to stop by the Finnish Institute at Athens on Zitrou 16 and view the exhibition on its opening day, and of course meet the artist herself.
